I don't regret being an addict. I saw felt and experienced amazing things. And I'm scarred for life. It has imprinted on my soul. I am also one of the lucky ones who has achieved long term recovery, and my life has blossomed. The hole in my heart has been filled. Yet I am constantly straddling both realities. It is a duality of being.
